After many years operating as a pack-away preschool in the Guide Hall, we are preparing for a
significant and long-awaited step: moving into our own purpose-built premises. From September, St
Mary’s Pre-School will be operating in the Church Centre Building (often referred to as ‘The Barn’),
on the Causeway. This is about a 2 minute walk from our current premises, so we are not going far!
This move represents a transformative moment for our setting, offering stability, continuity, and a
true sense of belonging for the children and families we serve.
We are excited that the children will be able to build on activities which they have started on
previous days., Tthey can contribute to ongoing displays, resources won’t suffer from the inevitable
extra wear and tear of being got out and put away each day, and the staff will be able to spend more
time with the children without worrying about getting packed away in time at the end of the day.
